One Room Challenge {week seven}

I’m going to be honest, this has been a SLOW process with lots of waiting. I wish I could have done this the same way as I do for my clients; order everything, install in one day and provide a beautiful reveal. I don’t know how many times I’ve said “I wish I could hire a designer to do this for me!”.

There is only one week left in the One Room Challenge and I can’t wait to reveal the entire room. Since my last update, I’ve been able to install some of my favorite pieces. My headboard was delivered and I LOVE the way it turned out. I’m so glad I went bold and selected the floral print.

I also picked up two pieces of art from my local frame shop. One got a simple update with a new mat and glare free glass. The other was a custom design for a print I’ve had in my inventory for a few years. I took a chance and did something a little unexpected. Again, I’m glad I did.

Finally, I got my woven wood shades installed and so far, they are my favorite change. They were my biggest splurge, but worth it. The texture and warmth they provide are perfect and I can’t wait to layer the draperies on each side.

Here is what is left on my “to do list” - deliver new chair and leaning mirror, install the draperies, finish all the accessories and I’m hoping to get my fan changed out. That is the one piece I’m still waiting on to get here and fingers crossed I can get it done before my final reveal next weekend. I not only will share tons of photos, but I’m going to share the sources (and prices) of everything I used.
