Balmoral {take two}
Sorry for such a delay in posting. I can honestly say, I've had zero free time to blog these past few weeks. I've been finishing up a few projects, moving forward with even more and starting new ones. Who said summer was the time to slow down? This week I've been in Northwest Arkansas helping my favorite client (who happens to be my sister) move her family into their new home. We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. The first few days, I swore those boxes multiplied at night and the paper is out of control! Before she moved in, we had almost all the walls repainted, but the biggest change was in her kitchen. We turned a very traditional kitchen into one that is more modern and definitely lighter!
We are replacing most of the furniture, but I wanted them to get into the space before we ordered anything to make sure our choices were perfect. After a few discussions and some painter's tape to visualize the new sectional, I have a long list of new things to order on Monday.
In addition to new furniture, ALL of the lighting is going. After we walked through the first day, it was apparent that only two rooms could stay (the master vanity lights and the guest bath light). Between the two of us, we have spent hours finding just the right pieces for each room and I couldn't be more thrilled with the direction we are going.
One of my favorite rooms (so far) is G's room. She is 12 and we spent a lot of time selecting fabrics and paint colors. We decided on pale pink walls with a teal accent wall for behind her bed. Then, we painted all her doors navy blue! So unexpected and fun. Like everywhere else, her room is a work in progress, but here is a sneak peek.
I'll be back in Arkansas in July to start the furniture install and supervise the lighting installation. Until then...
Thanks for Reading,
